Controlled Blending of Conventional Fuels and Biofuel Components

The FID Blender combines controlled fuel blending with mechanical homogenization. It allows operators to combine selected fuel components in a defined ratio and produce a more uniform blend before delivery to the day tank or fuel supply system.


Applications include blending conventional fuels and incorporating biofuel components. The blend ratio is selected from the properties of the incoming fuels and the required characteristics of the finished blend.

How the FID Blender Works

The system brings the selected fuel streams together at a controlled ratio. Mechanical homogenization then disperses the components more evenly, producing a consistent blend for transfer to the receiving tank or fuel supply system.


Ratio control determines how much of each component enters the blend. Homogenization improves the physical distribution of those components. The control arrangement is selected for the flow range and blend ratios required by the installation.
